Hockey Tip of the Day:

The key to the defensive zone is having poise and composure, stick on the ice in good position, head on a swivel, "protect the house"- keep your opponents to the outside along the boards. Don't panic, maintain your position and allow your teammates to do their jobs.

Boxer News:

BHS Hockey Alumni game will be held on March 10 at 3pm.

The Boxers defeated Silver Lake, 8-4 to improve to 10-7-1 on the season. The Boxers will finish up the regular season with two tough contests against Natick and Braintree.

Senior Night- The Boxers (9-6-1) will host O.A. on Wednesday, February 15 @6:30pm and honor its 6 seniors.

The Boxers (8-6-1) will play Brookline this Saturday afternoon (Feb 11) at 12pm at Boston University.

The Boxers got off to a solid start with a scoreless first period against Norwood. However, the Mustangs speed and determination to win battles for rebounds and loose pucks proved too much for Brockton on Monday night. Despite the loss this game was a much needed learning experience the Boxers. Full Story

The Boxers will host "Eric Ampuja Night" in honor of his recent election into the BHS Hall of Fame. The game will be played on Monday, January 23rd at 8pm vs. Norwood. Hope to see everyone there!

The Boxers (6-2-1) were handed their second loss of the year against Newton North. Brockton will head to Waltham this Saturday night at 8pm for another tough battle against the Hawks.

The Boxers (3-1-1) skated by Brookline and Dedham to win the Supreme Development Holiday Tournament at Noble & Greenough in Dedham. Full Story.

The Boxers (1-1-1) won a hard fought battle against North Quincy on Wednesday night, 3-2. Freshman goalie, Franco Massaro had 32 saves in his first career start. Billy Kougias, Matt Guillemette, and Jorden MacIntyre each contributed a goal apiece in the Boxers win. Full Story.

The Boxers were beat 6-1 by an emerging St. Peter Marian team on Saturday afternoon. Brockton looks to rebound against N.Quincy at home on Wednesday, Dec 21st at 5:30pm

The Boxers kick off the 2011-2012 season this Saturday night, Dec 10th at home vs. Silver Lake. The puck drops at 5:20pm.

The 4th Annual Garret Reagan Summit will take place on Sunday, Dec 4 at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro. The Boxers will face off against Falmouth at 12:40pm. Keynote speakers during the days intermission will be Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli and Holy Cross men’s hockey coach Paul Pearl.

Congratulations to Eric Ampuja, hockey alum 01' for being elected to the BHS Hall of Fame. Eric will be inducted on November 19th. For tickets to the event contact the BHS AD's office.
