Waltham handed Brockton their second loss of the season. Chris Samaras gave an outstanding performance in net stopping 41 out of 44 shots on the night. The Boxers got off to a 1-0 lead with a goal from Brian Sheehan in the first period. However, the Hawks responded with 3 unanswered goals in the second period and after a scoreless third, the game ended 3-1. Despite the loss, Brockton gave its finest team effort of the season.

Brockton defeated Dedham to win the Petruzziello tournament on Wednesday night and improve to 4-0-1. After 5 road games to start the season the Boxers will play their first home game on Monday night vs. Silver Lake.The puck drops at 6pm.

Marion Sturdevant, a longtime friend and volunteer recently passed away after a brief illness. Marion dedicated more than 30 years to hockey in Brockton and will be sadly missed.
